JCP intervenes regularly in colleges, schools and higher education institutions in Portugal.
From north to south, passing through the islands, the regular intervention of JCP in higher education is crucial to strengthen the struggle for public higher education of quality, democratic and free, as it is guaranteed in the Portuguese Constitution.
In each school cell, communist militants and their colleagues find a place to discuss their problems, the political situation and how to organize in order to fight the numerous attacks on their rights, thus contributing to the awareness and mobilization of other students. JCP advocates:
• The end of tuition fees;
• The exit from the Bologna Process and a real educational reform that takes into account the reality of our country;
• The reversal of the Legal System of Higher Education Institutions and the real participation of students in the governing bodies;
• The reinforcement of funding for Student Welfare.
